About the Event

A long-table seafood fundraiser brunch to raise funds and support Sunshine Community Services' Building Together Project. The fundraiser will be in phases - Long-table fundraiser brunch on August 11 and Art Auction in fall with Auctioneer - Ed Hill

Please note, there will be plant based brunch option available.

Tickets are non-refundable for this event. 

About the Project:

Building Together campaign will create 35 safe, secure, and affordable housing units (the top four floors of the new 6-storey building) for single women, and women with children, who have experienced, or are vulnerable to experiencing violence. By providing a stable and nurturing environment, these housing units not only reduce stress, but also empower women to reestablish their lives and take control of their futures.

Two lower floors of the new development will introduce a community hub that provides flexible meeting spaces, food solutions, crisis response, and support and prevention programs—all in one place. The community hub will be a place where inclusivity is prioritized, truth and reconciliation are embraced, and everyone can enjoy a safe and welcoming space.

Amuse-Bouche Trio
  1. Chilled Cucumber and Avocado Gazpacho Shot  (Delicately garnished with freshly chopped herbs and exquisite edible flowers)
  2. Avocado Strawberry Salsa with Shrimp (Served in mini handmade taco cups, complemented with a hint of spicy aioli for an added kick)
  3. Homemade Herb Butter with Red Caviar (Paired with artisanal crackers, presenting a lavish start to your culinary adventure)
Starter

Watermelon, Arugula, and Mint Salad

  • A refreshing blend of juicy watermelon, vibrant arugula, and fragrant mint, adorned with raspberries and crumbled feta. Finished with a drizzle of light balsamic reduction and fresh raspberry vinaigrette.
Second Course

Seafood Chowder

  • A luxurious chowder infused with a touch of saffron and sprinkled with fresh chives. This rich, creamy delight features a medley of the ocean’s finest catches.
Main Course

Grilled Local Fish

  • Accompanied by a vibrant heirloom tomato and basil salad, tender lemon-infused asparagus, and a velvety parsnip foam. Each element is drizzled with a delicate light herb oil to elevate the flavours.
Dessert

Peach and Basil Panna Cotta

  • A luscious panna cotta infused with fresh basil and topped with succulent peach slices. Garnished with delicate almond brittle and candied basil leaves for a sweet, aromatic finish.
Wine Pairings

White Wine: Sauvignon Blanc

  • A crisp, refreshing white wine featuring notes of citrus and green apple, perfectly paired with seafood and light salads.
